Enea third overall and best indipendent rider after Valencia Finale
The curtains comes down at the end of one of the most incredible seasons in the history of Gresini Racing, with Enea Bastianini – who was seventh at the chequered flag today – finishing third overall in the 2022 MotoGP World Championship and Best Independent Team Rider.
The Valencia race was a very complicated one, with plenty of crashes and tension in the air: after a disappointing qualifying result, Enea did a great job in staying focused and finding a solid result in the points, while at the same time overtaking Aprilia and Aleix Espargaró in the standings (with the Spaniard forced to retire few minutes after the start of the race).
Team Gresini MotoGP wishes to congratulate Pecco Bagnaia and the whole Team Ducati Corse for the World Championship title. Please, treat Enea well.
ENEA BASTIANINI #23
“It was a difficult race and I only at the end I got to know Aleix had retired. We did a good job, especially after a disastrous Saturday. I’m happy with this third place and the best independent rider title. I think it has been a great season and I’d like Team Gresini for supporting me in every moment. This season result also goes to Fausto.”
