Enea dominates and wins the Grand Prix of Malaysia

The Italian rider has finally clinched the first victory with the official team. In a year marked by two serious injuries that kept him away from the tracks for months, Bastianini has returned to the top step of the podium. His last victory dates back to Aragon 2022 with the Gresini team. In Malaysia, Enea led from the first to the last lap, completely dominating a perfect race.

“It’s beautiful and exciting to return to victory after such a difficult period. Today, I wanted nothing else but to win; I didn’t care about anything else, and I knew I could do it. In the race, I pushed from the beginning to the end, just like in qualifying, managing the gap. I was at the limit, and I couldn’t do more, but the victory finally came. Something changed within me during this weekend, and I returned to having fun. Certainly, one of the key factors was changing the engine brake using the information we had gathered in Thailand, and now I don’t make braking mistakes as I did recently. I’ve always said that when you start enjoying yourself again, you also become fast, and today it finally worked out that way.”
